We have an M&P9 and really enjoy shooting it. My wife used it at a Women's Defensive Handgun Class and was able to operate it all day through the various exericses despite having arthritis in her hands. It hasn't had any issues, very dependable, even shooting the UMC and PMC 115 grain ammo.
Chad, you will find if you buy the kit, the lenses that come with the T1i aren't as good as the camera can be (although still pretty dang good). The camera's processor is excellent. If you just get the body and get the higher end canon lenses with the red stripe, it's crazy good.
