In the past, round count has been 100 or less. Really, its a matter of how much YOU want to shoot. Some guys show up to shoot whatever drill it is a couple times and leave after shooting 25 rounds. Other guys want to run it 15 times and shoot well over 100. So bring what you want to shoot!
Just looked into that this morning actually. The INMG website says series registration doesn't close, but cost does go up shortly so the longer you wait, the more it will cost. I'd assume any matches shot would count, no matter when you sign up?
I was wanting to sign up and pay at the match...
I like most of those ideas! We talked about holding official classifiers last year but never did it. With the rule change and the fact we don't need SC approval, lets do it! Would give people a chance to get classed with a new gun or play in a different division than normal. I should be good to...
Some are sponsors for shooters or teams, other are just companies the person likes and wants to promote (maybe hoping for sponsorship?). The past couple of years there have been shirts available at the state match with a couple of the large match sponsor logos on them.
I'll mostly agree, lol. I'm ready to get outside and have some fun this summer! Sick of this cold weather. Hopefully the next day or two is the last of it
Lets re-phrase it a little. Other than your 3rd match (welcome to the sport btw!!) and a new gun, why do you want to practice them? So you can do better? Why do you want to do better on them? do you just want to succeed and win the match? Fine if you do, go for it. Do you want to try to earn a...
I agree with Ryan, practicing a variety of classifier stages is good for various skill building and re-affirmation of things learned/acquired in dryfire. But I wouldn't practice the exact classifiers the match is holding. You can if you want to, but what's the point of practicing that particular...
Id just practice normal gun handling skills personally. Why practice for a classifier. You either have the skill to shoot well or you don't. I quit "trying" on classifiers long ago. As my overall skills improved, so did my match scores and classifier scores.
Just work the basics and your...
^^ True. We are planning a get together soon to discuss which month we'll be hosting it. There are some scheduling things at the range that might make it in April a bit more feasible but that's cutting it pretty close to this match and may not help people get classified. Ryan will make the...
In the rules, under scoring I still see there is the "stage points" like in the past. I had heard of doing away with the points and just being a straight total time. Did that not happen?
