This is my review of the SCCY-CPX2. It seems to work well and has descent build quality. I paid $251.22 for this pistol which included tax. I thought it was a reasonable price for a 9mm weighing 17.1 ounce with an empty mag and has a capacity of 11 rounds...
This is a storage system for pistols. It can also be used for shotguns and rifles. It should work with in a safe as well. I realize that not everyone has either the money or the room for a large safe. I always encourage everyone to secure their firearms in a safe, if possible. However...
The Kahr P380 is in my opinion one of the best .380 DA pocket pistols on the market. However, it is a little expensive at $500.00 or more at the dealer. Kahr has introduced its new CW380 which should be hitting shelves soon. It will be like the CM9 is to the PM9. It is expected to retail for...
This is my review of the Akkar Model 300 12 Gauge pump. I found it to be reliable after a good cleaning and oiling the action. I picked it up in like new condition for $189.00 which included tax. If I wanted a new pump I would probably go with a Remington 870 or Mossberg 500. However, the...
The Sheperd hook will last a long time. Not sure exactly how many times it has been hit but the hook has been hit a lot and has held up well. It has actually held up better than the post behind it. If it was going to be a permanent stand on a private range, I would go with the thicker fence...
I have a XDS with an extended magazine that I use as a home defense weapon. I would like to get a light for the rail. This way I do not have to hold a flash light in one hand and the pistol with the other. Do you all have any suggestions on a good light?
I saw that Beretta has a new pocket plstol called the Pico coming out this summer in .380 ACP. Beretta is saying the trigger pull will be in the 10lbs range. Looks like price will be in line with most other .380s on the market. What are your thoughts on this little Beretta?

I carry a .380 on a regular basis because it is small, light and provides me with 7 Federal Hydra-Shok rounds. Of shot placement is important. The smaller the gun the more difficult it is to make the shot. I think one of the issue with the .380 is penatration, particularly in winter when...
I have been living with the Ruger LCR .38 Special for a year and a half now. It probably has the best double action trigger of any revolver I have shot which has not had work done on it. At 13.5 ounces it is super light but the Hogue grip does an excellent job in taming recoil. Of course, you...
It has been my experience that the ladies prefer the Ruger LC9 and Taurus Slim. Although the LC9 is not my preferred trigger of the bunch. I think it has a lot to do with recoil. You can really get a good grip on the LC9 and it is easy to manipulate.
I have a Kimbe Solo. It is an expensive gun to shoot as it is subject to malfunctions unless you put premium hollow points in it. When it does jam it will normally require two people to unjam it. It is a nice shooting pistol. However, after 550 rounds through it, the finish is coming off the...
