This is a recent review of a Cowboy Fast Draw Rig from Bob Marshall which meets all the Cowboy Fast Draw Association requirements for fast draw. He also makes holsters for Cowboy Action Shooting.

You must have a period single action revolver from 1873 to 1899 such as a Colt Peacemaker or modern clone like a Uberti Cattleman or a Ruger New Vaquero. It must be chambered for the .45lc. You must have a Mexican loop holster which meets CFDA rules. Most matches are shot with wax bullets...
This is some footage of Jayhawker and Bob Ed Pain going for 1st and 2nd place one of the matches at the Virgil Earp Shoot in Hartford, Kentucky this past weekend. Bob Ed Pain came in 8th at the World Championship this year but is defended by Jayhawker in this match and ultimately place 2nd with...
Just recently reviewed a gun belt from Zach's Gun Belts. I was impressed. Probably one of the most easily overlooked areas in a carry system but yet it is essential.

This is my review of the SCCY-CPX2. It was not all smooth sailing with this pistol as it had to be sent back to the factory twice for trigger issues. However, it appears to be fixed now and for the price it still represents a good value. All guns can malfunction as is evident by the XDS and...
Just a short video giving the links to recall information on the Shield and XDS. It also shows what to look for on the Shield to see if it needs to be sent back in.

I recently borrowed a S&W Shield to shoot and the Foxx IWB Hybrid Holster came along with it. This is a very well made and comfortable holster for the price. It comes in at $39.00. I understand that delivery is fast as well. In my opinion this holster is a Best Buy...
TCP Advantages and Disadvantages.
I purchased a TCP when they first came outa and have put about 500 rounds through it. It had some problems with the pistol going into battery which is not uncommon for this size of pistol. It has had some failures to eject. This particular one would also...
I live in Owensboro, Kentucky. We have the largest independent dealer in the country here. They have 8,000 guns in stock. If you cant find it there, it probably won't be anywhere else. The Store is called Whittaker Guns. They have a website but it is not very good. Best way to contact them...
This is a comparison of the features of the XDS, Shield & Slim. All are very well thought out designs and have performed for me without any issues. Grip size and triggers are different and will probably be the deciding factor for the purchaser. Price also can vary greatly for these three guns...
This is a minimal outside the waistband holster for the S&W Shield. Of course, it is available for many different models. It is very light at 2.1 ounce and very durable with its' leather/kydex design.

The G26 is a great pistol. One of the advantages offered by the Shield is a slimmer grip for people with small hands. Of course, you have to give up 3 rounds to get it.
I was fortunate to have a good friend loan me his S&W Shield to shoot recently. I really like this pistol. It is an easy gun for anyone to shoot. I have short fingers and I can work everything on this pistol without problems. I do have a problem reaching the magazine release on the XDS for...
I recently went to a Cowboy Fast Draw Match in Hartford, Kentucky put on by the Blue Grass Cowboy Fast Draw Club. What a fun way to preserve a little American heritage. I was surprised to see how cheap it was to shoot. They use a wax bullet in a .45lc cartridge which is propelled by a shotgun...
On the 134th Round the trigger on the CPX2 stopped working properly. It would pull the hammer back but not release it to strike the firing pin. Once I get it back from SCCY, I will do a follow up report.
