I had a similar situation where my rifle case came out with the regular baggage, whereas previously it was by claim with oversized baggage (same airline). Funny thing, I was asked what I was hunting, and I said prairie dogs, which got a shocked look... lol.
Anyway, it was a smooth process but...
I talked with an old guy in his final years that told me he that he use to have a nice collection of guns, but started to sell them off because for one he was no longer using them, and two for the added income as he new their value. I have that in my head too, along with other hobbies.
I understand where you’re coming from, however Indiana itself has had inconsistencies gun laws. I’d rather be able to carry in those now unfriendly states that I pass through rather then not. Even in friendly states, before I pass through/visit, I educate myself on their basics. Reminds me of...
I made a nice donation on Friday (with my First National Bank NRA Visa that I'll be canceling) and I will do so again (with another credit card!) on March 24th. Thanks for the post.
I said it in another thread, as next week I will be paying off my 21-year held the Frist National Bank VISA and closing the account.
I do carry a secondary card from USAA. Another choice for me would be a card from a credit union.
I’ve said some of this in other posts and this is a bit of a soapbox, but I’ve been an NRA member since shortly after buying my first gun (a semi-auto rifle) when I was 18. I have made it a point to read the NRA's magazines, learn from them, and understand that our right to own a gun was much...
I’ve had the First National Bank NRA Visa since 1997. I’ve exclusively used that card over the years with a lot of money going on to it and I would usually donate the reward points back to the NRA.
I was disappointed to hear FNB's decision, so at lunch today, I used my remaining rewards point...
I had a situation recently where I ran into an *******. I should have let his rage go, but I pushed back. Anyway, he was going to get out of his car, so I pulled away. He then starts following me, and I just continued to drive around a parking lot, making sure not to come to a stop or go where...
Not long ago, we had a truck speeding through the neighborhood (not on my street). What I believe happened is that a homeowner threw a rock at the truck, which the driver called the cops, and got the homeowner arrested for it. The driver looked like a total d-bag. I saw the arrest happen near my...
Totally LESS confrontational... I'm generally a nice guy but become super nice. I can get flipped off and I'll just say, "And you have a wonderful day!"
