Alien Gear Photon Review (In Progress)

Sounds like a plan. Plus side its only $45 before tax, so you won’t be out a ton. But like I said, only a tension holster so keep that in mind

Alien Gear Photon Review (In Progress)

Very easy. It is 2 screws and 2 nuts for the IWB clip and paddle, just mounted on different sides. If you felt like it you probably could leave the IWB clip on. I had no issues with it. If you have the mag carrier attached you will have to take it off, though.

Alien Gear Photon Review (In Progress)

100 hour update: I have been wearing it every day for about 10+ hours, minus a day or two when I’m off and at home. No issues - the kydex has not worn or changed in anyway, and the clips have not lost the tension. Haven’t given myself new holes either - so it seems to be fine in the safety...

      What Holster Are You Using?

Nice. I have the Alien Gear Photon and its similar, but I was wondering about the difference between a purpose built one and a modular one. the P320 is not light by any standard either, so thats good to hear

      What Holster Are You Using?

Are LAS concealment worth the money? I’m interested in the Ronin because of the mag carrier.

      What Holster Are You Using?

I use the new Alien Gear Photon with the sidecar mag carrier attached. Sits in appendix. Comfortable to the extreme - I forgot about it at work today. Super modular, and ambi. IWB/OWB. I would say great first holster. Downside is you have to assemble it all. But $45 for the holster is...

Alien Gear Photon Review (In Progress)

53+ hour update: New longest consecutive usage time. I put it in this morning, packed my car and drove 3 hours back home from my vacation. Not an issue, and I wore it today at work for 8 hours plus another 20 minutes in travel time. No issues whatsoever, and it has been very comfortable for the...

Alien Gear Photon Review (In Progress)

Oh yeah, it’s nice. I went both too little and too high. Find the right one and its awesome.

Alien Gear Photon Review (In Progress)

I will say for IWB purposes it has plenty of retention. Plus it is adjustable to basically nothing to unreasonable.

Alien Gear Photon Review (In Progress)

40 hour update: 10 hours today. 4 in the car, 3 with no gun (thanks Illinois), and 3 with a gun while moving. Went in when I got dressed this morning and came out when I walked in the door. Longest consecutive wearing of the holster, albeit some of the time empty due to Illinois. Took 94 to...

Alien Gear Photon Review (In Progress)

Feel free to add your anecdotes and things you’ve heard - this is an open discussion + a review. I want to document the long-term. https://aliengearholsters.com/photon-holster.html The Alien Gear Photon IWB/OWB ambidextrous holster is relatively new, being released in May of 2023. I know AG...

What gun stuff did you buy today?

Sig Sauer P320 compact and a Aliengear Photon holster with mag carrier wing. Great fitment in appendix, even with a little pudge.

Opinions on Olight's rail mount lights?

Im good with whatever honestly. If I were making EOTWAWKI gun I would have a dual fuel/battery light. Rechargeable is great and the batteries are cheap to replace. Buy 2 or 3 and keep them full for a small emergency or something.

Private Sales Clarity - Legal Questions

Carrying is not my worry, I have the license and IN is a Constitutional Carry state, so. My issue was buying - which is where a lot of the felonies can stack up.

Private Sales Clarity - Legal Questions

Thanks guys. Just wanted a bit of clarity - I love my AR but it's not the ideal "trip to walmart" gun lol.

Private Sales Clarity - Legal Questions

Hey! I would like to start out I already own a rifle, but I am looking for a handgun. I am 20 - not 21. I also have a LTCH. I have a loose knowledge of private sales, and I though I should ask here before any sales be made for the sake of not accidentally breaking laws. It sucks but I like being...

Opinions on Olight's rail mount lights?

To piggyback off of bgarman47: Yes they only have the 6 minute runtime (on rifle lights) of full power; however, if you are using it as a momentary light it will last for a lot longer as it's heat based, not battery based. I have the Odin Mini for my AR15 and it's been phenomenal for an extreme...
