Already on its way back, with a tracking number, no explanation as to what they did or didn't do with it! They had it for about 24 hours.

Ruger LC9S Pro goin' back to Ruger

Well y'all, I was so excited to get my little 9, as a back up and to protect me on those late night runs. I still plan on doing a range report on it, however! I will have to wait for it to come back. I have less than 100 rounds through it. The problem - wasn't extracting, possible double...

      TC Compass Range Report

Earlier this year, I posted questions about purchasing an entry level .308 bolt action. I received lots of responses, so in my gratitude and as promised, the subject of this report is a beginner level, sub $300 bolt action rifle in .308 by Thompson Center- The TC Compass. Since Smith & Wesson...

So.. what are you reloading at the moment??

Finished 80 rounds of BlackOut, "Light" loads of IMR 4227/125 gr. SpeerTNT, probably for target practice and to see if I can save powder in the future. Also some "Mid" loads with 15.7 gr. IMR 4227/150 gr. Hornady Interlock. Plan to chrono these soon and when time permits, ballistic gel...

      Roll Your Own SD Quest

Excellent info! As a reloader, I did know about the extractor/wear marks. Thanks everyone for making the argument clear. Huge sign says "Don't use reloads for SD!"

I hear you, and follow. How do they know its factory ammo if you used factory ammo cases and components?

My Mexico EDC...what do you see?

      Roll Your Own SD Quest

I think valid points have been made, but the thread was sidetracked. Though a lawyer's advice is good, it doesn't mean you'd beat a case with Hornady, Speer or anyone else. There are several additional arguments to get you convicted/sued. Will check out the Ayoob! Jury is also still out...

My Mexico EDC...what do you see?

Curious what it is I would be doing in Mexico that I would need those escape items for? Or how I would say that my neck knife was for peeling vegatables? :)

      Roll Your Own SD Quest

Rock on guys, I have been careful and work my way up with any load and would start lowest for both... Great points.

      Roll Your Own SD Quest

Appreciate the opinions. Just curious, though I hear the common sense, how many cases has Mr.Ayoob personally represented and won/lost on the ammo argument? Good lawyers and evidence (or lack thereof) can convince juries either way. Not everyone can produce receipts or prove they are...

      Roll Your Own SD Quest

Update: Contacted Hornady Techs. "John" says velocity between "900-1200" will allow full expansion of their XTP 124 gr. That's a pretty wide range. When I asked what powder might put one in that range with a lower flash, he was unsure. "I use Power Pistol or CFE". Please discuss!
