As an out of stater, I don't think you can buy anything (firearms or ammo) over there without a FOID. I could be wrong on that, but a few years back I tried to buy some sale priced ammo at a store where I knew the clerk and he wouldn't sell it to me...no FOID.
By the same token, years ago I took...
I'm excited, been following the progress on facebook and can't hardly wait. Me and Momma are ready to come dump some brass on the range floor. :rockwoot:
Interesting quotes, I personally have never had a problem doing a FTF and hope I never do. I never go alone for sure. The quotes about Craigslist? I was under the impression you couldn't sell firearms through their site. Hmmm guess there are ways around everything these days.
My experience with any type of auction is you can buy whatever you want as long as you want it bad enough. Any thing I ever bid on, I have a set price in my head before I ever bid and I stick to it. I bought one gun at a gun auction by sticking to my price, it may have been too much for some...
Years ago, I dropped my P89 Ruger into the inner pocket of my jacket and went out for the evening. While out I stopped at Samsclub to pick up some supplies for the party I was going to. I got a little warm in the store so I unzipped my jacket, then while receiving assistance from a store clerk...
I see a lot of used rifles for sale with approximate number of rounds down the pipe. Since I am a novice to the AR world do the barrels get shot out after a time and if so about how many rounds could one expect from a given barrel? Loaded question I know. :dunno:
Are there any owners of the Marlin Mark 1 pump out there? Years ago I bought one that someone had put a Cutts Compensator on and I even managed to find several chokes for it over the years I owned it. Took my share of small game with it and a couple deer too. Like so many others for some reason...
A number of years ago I traded for a WWII Japanese rifle that had been sporterized somewhat and rebored to a .257 Roberts. Since it no longer has any real collector value, I want to modify it some more. The barrel was never cut down in length and it would be nice to have it shortened to a more...
First Centerfire
My first centerfire handgun was a Dan Wesson in .357 with an 8 3/8 barrel. Man I loved that gun, I never forgot it and wish I had never traded it off. :(
Does anyone shoot the 357 any more, or even wheelguns for that matter? It seems as though everyone is high on semi autos, not that I don't own my fair share of them. Does anyone out there still like the big fireball and boom of the 357?
