What gun stuff did you buy today?

Picked up a lightweight 20" AR upper, to replace the heavy bull barreled upper on my coyote rifle.

      A Milestone Reached

Thanks! We both have health issues, mine are minor compared to The Boss's. This will really help me to help her out more than I can now.

      A Milestone Reached

Yeah, I can see that. Started working when I was 14, longest I've been off or out of work since was about a month, right after I got out of the army. Could have started working sooner then but I needed the time to "de-militarize" myself. Will continue to work at least part time, just for insurance.

IIRC you can file up to 4 months before you are eligible. First check in my case comes the start of the month after my 62nd b-day. I would guess if I filed after I was eligible it would start the month after I filed.

I'm doing it at 62. Made some very smart decisions many moons ago that make this possible. Still plan on working part time just to keep me busy and for the insurance.

      Don't use FedEx

Only problem with that is a lot of times the driver makes a scribble and leaves it anyway. just depends on if he wants to lug the box back to the truck or not.

      Tikka c19

This is what mine is capable of when I do my part, these were at 150 yards on a dead calm day. Oh, and those are 5 shot groups.

      2024 Spring Wild Turkey

They've been carrying on the last month or so around here. The Boss heard a couple of them this morning that were so close she could hear them over the tv. As we were coming up the drive this afternoon 3 big toms along with several hens were in the woods in front of the house.

      Gun Cleaning Mats?

I use an absorbent mat designed for use under grills. Big enough to cut in half and have 2, also a little thicker and cushiony in case I drop something important while in use.
