I have a couple of AMD-65s since I enjoy them so much. I like the light weight and easy of carry, yet have the most fun when I install a 100 round drum and the rifle is not too heavy.

About the only issue some people have is not being able to weld their cheek to the stock, but I learned how to shoot without jamming the rifle into my face a long time ago so that doesn't bother me. ;)

$400 for a new one is a great deal these days!!!!!!

Yes they are a hoot to shoot and the blast from the muzzel is quite toasty also.

The things to look out for is canted front sights, etc, Ive seen more than 5 AMD's from "CAI" century that are reallllly canted up. Some builds came with a Nodak Spud receiver which i felt was top notch for kit builds, If you can look for one with an FEG receiver, these were made from the source, and are solid, You also can tightn up your sling and wrap it around the wire stock snug enough to utilize as a cheek rest, if you need a pic look at my gun porn pics and look for the AMD with the drum you'll see. Going rates for these run anywhere from 400-550 if its a good build not tooooo canted or at all get it, you wont be dissatisfied.

:ar15:Find an AMP69 you would be even happier.
