Disorderly conduct???? So, if people call you because a Jewish person is walking down the street, and that scares them, is the Jewish person then guilty of disorderly conduct? NO.
Indiana Code said:(a) A person who recklessly, knowingly, or intentionally:
(1) engages in fighting or in tumultuous conduct;
(2) makes unreasonable noise and continues to do so after being asked to stop; or
(3) disrupts a lawful assembly of persons;
commits disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor.

IMO this **** is going to turn our LCTH into a CCW. Carry how you see fit.
An officer receives a call, he goes out and asks for ID. The ID check verifies a felon or non-felon, and you can be on your way. While I understand our rights, I also understand that the officer is trying to fulfill the duty of his call. It's illegal to carry a handgun without a LTCH. It's illegal to possess a firearm being a felon. Simply checking on the legality of me to have a firearm on my person (doing his job per se) is the question at hand. Do you comply and give name and DOB, or do you show a LTCH to get the whole process stopped when the license check comes back?
That doesn't come remotely close to fitting the "Disorderly Conduct" definition. It takes a pretty specific set of circumstances to get Disorderly Conduct to stick. Let me just post the definition here for your perusal...
Disorderly Conduct is ABSOLUTELY NOT a catch-all charge used to arrest someone when you don't have any other charges. You have to exactly fit the above definition (and a few others that are yet even more strict) to charge Disorderly Conduct.
