Hey guys!
Figured I'd introduce myself. I'm from Merrillville, just moved to the area to get out of Illinois in May and bought our first house. I have a beautiful wife and a 1 year old boy.
Born in Romania, father ran away when it was a communist country, and we came 2 years after that. I'm one of the few out there that understand what freedom really means because we didn't always have it. Moved to LA, then to Illinois (Chicago area), and decided I didn't want to live in a state run by socialists, so here I am now.
My handgun license is pending ISP approval, and I plan to open carry everywhere I go in NW Indiana.
I will be carrying an STI 5" 1911 in 9mm. I have an RIA 1911 XT22 that I use for plinking and training, my wife has an IWI 4" Baby Desert Eagle in 9mm, I also have a 30-30 Winchester Model 94. I'll be buying a shotgun at some point to do some duck hunting but I'm taking my time finding something on the second hand market as my requirements are pretty specific.
I work from home full time as a security analyst, I'm an AMSOIL dealer, I design and build home theater speakers, and I design mobile audio systems and build subwoofer enclosures. I've spent a great deal of time in online forums, so you'll probably find me to be pretty active around here too. Anyhow, see you guys around.
