I'm a bit confused, and I know this will stir the defecation, But if Glocks are so perfect why do they keep coming out with 2nd, 3rd, 4th generations? JM Browning had 1 major change with the 1911, the 1911A1. Yes I know there are millions of personal mods to the design but HE didn't change, or "improve" it

I do have one Glock. It's the 26. IMO it's ok. Just ok. It's going to be sold with my sub2k and a crapload of mags. I doubt that I'll miss it. But maybe I will. Who knows?

I don't really get the fanboy thing with glocks or 1911's or Chevy's or Honda's or whatever.

They're all tools that should be built to do the job. Prices on both 1911's and Glock seem inflated due to their demand more than their awesomeness.

Glocks were perfect, then perfecter, now perfectist. Got it? Good.

Me personally, I do like them. They just fit and feel right. Well, the 17, 19, 20SF, 21SF, 22...Not the big 45ACP, 10mm, or subcompacts. When the gun is right for you, it's perfect-provided that it functions well.

1911s are pretty awesome, too. I don't understand how 2 completely different pistols both feel so good in the hand.

To each his own. I have 4 Glocks, 20, 21, 22 and a 36. The 21 and 22 I have used for 8 and 10 years respectfully, only a broken trigger pin in the 22 that did not effect the weapon and each have over 6000 rounds through each. One cool thing that can not be disputed, in my opinion, is that you can have a catostrophic failure, such as a trigger reset spring completely breaking and the weapon will still function. Don't know of any other hand gun that can do that, in my humble travels.

It's called marketing hype and I challenge you to show me any major manufacturer who doesn't do it.

Of course, that doesn't matter when you're trollin' along ;)

OK my :twocents:, I have some glocks & since they aren't collector gun, I won't cry if they get marred, cause it's just a glock:): No I'm careful with my 1911, oh no don't want to marred a beautiful gun like a 1911 which goes up in value;)
