Do you mean Martinsville Sportsman's Conservation Club? If not, where is this place? If so, when are we going (I'll be your guest :D )

Ok, I took a look at their website, but still have a couple of questions for you...

    1. How long did it take you to receive your card?
    2. Do they have trap or skeet shooting available?
    3. Is the lake usable at all?

Any other info you have... I would love to have a nice range close to home.

Might want to make a test run before hauling up a lot of gear. A foot of snow on the ground could be a detriment. I don't know if they plow the road back to the ranges or not.

Mail come through. Card came too. :D

what? dude I have a JEEP:rockwoot: don't you know it's damn near impossible to get these stuck.:D
I've heard that from a cocky Jeep driver. We were both at the trail head at the same time. We hiked 2 miles and made it out before he winched his Jeep out of the stream. :)

    1. They do new memberships at the beginning of the year. If there are any openings left at all by now there are less than 10. Last year I received my membership info fairly promptly, this year they are redoing the entrance gate so the new membership cards were delayed a few weeks in coming out. Looks like the membership cards (which will control the new automatic gate) are in the mail this week and the gate will be switched over to the new automatic opener this weekend.
    2. There is a field for shotgun shooting, but I do not think there are any machines for throwing clays or anything like that. They had some machines but they were wrecked in the flood last Spring.
    3. I think they had to drain the lake post-flood, but I don't really know much about it. I would definitely check it out, though -- if you live in Martinsville I'm sure it's the closest range to you...
