AMD-65 muzzle brake...thoughts?

Anyone have any experience with the extended AMD-65 brake? I got a new AK and it came with one and just wondering if it has any better performance than the regular slant cut brake.

The slant brake on a semi-auto AK is for looks, the AMD brake does a nice job of lowering felt recoil at the expense of making the shot sound louder. Don't mind noise!

I've got a AMD-65 but I figured it was extra loud due to the shorter barrel, not the brake. I suppose the brake does add to the noise, I didnt really think about that.
