MSNBC trying to make it happen...
MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace was beaming as she discussed the possibility of the deadly coronavirus sweeping the country and killing an untold number of Americans. The reason for her glee? MSNBC and the rest of the mainstream media see an opportunity to direct the public's ire toward the president should the virus result in a deadly pandemic, which the media assures us is already here. The coronavirus originated in China and has quickly made its way around the world.
Wallace, who worked in the Bush administration during the deadly storm, sees an opportunity for the media to blame President Trump for the virus the same way the media blamed President Bush for Hurricane Katrina.
"We gave them a proof point that we were indeed incompetent and also people died," Wallace characterized the Bush administration's response to Katrina. "I mean, this has the making structurally for the same kind of moment for President Trump."
The panel was optimistic that enough babies, friends, loved ones and old people would perish from the virus that Trump's solid base of support would finally begin to waver.
"And if there's any a moment that would shake that 40 percent, the folks that would allow him to shoot someone right down fifth -- if there's any a moment, it's this one because it's babies, it's friends, it's loved ones," said Eddie Glaude Jr., an African American Studies professor. "And so it seems to me that this is an event that could take down the president."

Elizabeth Warren was asked what she thought should be done about the coronavirus. She basically replied with "Trump is racist" rhetoric. Some of these people are so twisted that they no longer function as normal human beings. They just keep trying too stir the pot at all costs.
Well, they think that this is the most importantest election ever too. It's not surprising that they try to politicize it. Would be nice to keep politics out of it, but in an election year, that's just not gonna happen. But even apart from it being an election year, TDS can't help itself. There's nothing good that can happen that was Trump's doing, there's nothing bad that can happen that isn't his fault. And it's true enough that not much good that happens IS Trump's doing--good things can happen for reasons the president doesn't control. He deserves credit for what good he does have a hand in bringing about though. But for the same reasons not much bad that happens IS Trump's fault, notwithstanding that he deserves blame for what bad has come about because of decisions he's made.
It may be true that he could have approached this more aggressively. I don't see any president doing that though, because early on, when it really matters, it's hard to know just how dire consequences might be to justify disrupting so many people's lives.
When acting on this, it is far better to act quickly and effectively than later and in a perfect manner. Get known usable tests out quickly. Then if you see value in the "gold-plated" ones, introduce them as time permits. Now that doesn’t mean that you can’t screw up the coronavirus test if you really set your mind to it. And in fact, that’s exactly what the CDC did in January, when they rejected the World Health Organization’s proposed test panel for SARS-CoV-2 (the official name for this particular novel coronavirus which causes the disease COVID-19) in favor of a gold-plated test panel of the CDC’s own design. After all, why just test for SARS-CoV-2 when you could also test for other SARS and MERS viruses? Unfortunately, with complexity came error, and these initial CDC triple-test kits had a flaw in one of the multiple tests, ruining the entire test. Now the CDC is producing a solo test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but this fiasco set us back weeks in test-kit supply.
