So when's the organized OC night? (kidding, well, maybe not)
Curious if anyone will be and if so what their experiences will be.
From previous posts, I think it has been determined that it is in fact legal, but I went tonight for "preview night" and got a program which clearly read "no weapons".

Although the fair grounds are owned by the county the lake county fair is a private enterprise and may ban weapons if they wish.
    If you OC expect hassles.

From what I have been told by people who have worked with the LC county fair for years it is NOT a private enterprise but is a committee set up and controlled by the county board. They are not on the county payroll, but that does not mean they are not part of the county.

The Lake County Agricultural Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed in 1852 to promote agriculture in Lake County. The members and directors of the society produce the fair each year, in order to continue the mission of the society, and to bring to the community good family fun in the process. We hope you will enjoy what we have to offer!
It is not part of the county, it is a private concern.

I would predict that by next year, you will see many more of the county fairs turned into a "privately" leased fair. Just a easy way for the anti's to have their way.................
