I've read a few touching LEGO stories like this. They're good people. Yeah, the stuff is a bit spendy, but it's worth it. I still have mine, 40± years old, (mostly) good as new. Wish it was easier to get just a box o brix, though, they seem all to be kits now.

Perhaps it's the mom in me, but I can think of nothing else other than the fact that the only lesson this kid has learned is that if he asks nicely, he'll get what he wants.

Kids are learning about entitlement at a young age. Now, if they lose a toy, the toy company should replace it... Thats the vibe I got as well...

He got a replacement minfig which is one of a kind (sort-of). The character he lost comes in 3 different versions depending on the set you buy. The LEGO Company (TLC) is sending him one which has all 3 minfigs combines (ie. Face from one set, body from 2nd, and torose from 3rd is my guess).

2nd he got all the weapons for that figure

And lastly he got that charcter's arch enemy so they can fight.
That was the suprise the arch enemy mini-fig.

There was another lesson it was in the message.

The email reply said this one time they can replace the minfig per the 'master ninja' but also the 'master ninja' informed the kid to listen to his dad.

I'm sure the kid learned his lesson
    - keep your lego at home
    - listen to dad

Then you need to go to the Lego store in Castleton and stock up on whichever bricks you're wanting. They sell them in bulk.
