DNR WINAMAC would like to partner with NWI INGO once again this year to hold a youth day event.

Complete details of last year's event can be found here and here.

DNR Winamac has said the best dates for them are 14th or 21st of June with the 28th being the third option.
So INGO are you interested in volunteering?

We need the following in terms of man-power

    - rifle instructors (.22lrs will be used)
    - shotgun instrctors (20ga will be used)
    - skeet thrower operators
    - cooks
    - info booth

    In terms of equipment

    - .22lr rifles
    - .22lr ammo donations and/or place where DNR can buy from
    - food (hot dogs, burgers, bread, chips, water, pop)
    - grills

If you can provide man-power please vote on the date that is best for you.
    Thanks all!

    @Kirk

Yes to both especially .22lr ammo.

Last year DNR supplied brand new 20g shotguns (pump) as well as all the 20g shells and clays for the event.
I suspect they will do that again this year.

They also provided some 10/22s (brand new) but could not provide ammo (.22lr) due to lack of avaliablity.
I have not confirmed with them yet on .22lr ammo for this year but suspect they will be in the same boat.
If you know of a commerical source for .22lr ammo please let me know so I can direct it to them.

I will once again be taking ammo donations as well for the event.
The small surplus of ammo we had left we ended up donating to Project Applseed - Indiana chapter for their youth events as well.

I still have the left over centerfire ammo from last year, some .223 and a good amount of 7.62x39. I remember doing a round count from last year, but I have no idea what it was, I'm sure I've got it written someplace.

Are we still doing the centerfire stuff? If so I'll be glad to offer my services I have one AR and one AK, but spares are always a good idea.

    Thank you for volunteering! :)
Yes will will have on the 'correct bench' this time with with the big guns (AK and AR) since you seems happy as a kid at xmass doing that.
I will make sure you have an extra AR and AK should you need them.

When you have a chance let me know how much ammo we still have left from last year for the center-fire rifles so I can see about getting some smaller donations for more if needed.
Those calibers are easier to find right now then .22lr. :(

    And that address would be?

PM send with details of address.

I don't think I can volunteer, but i would like to donate my guns to put to use if they can be used. I have a 9mm smith and wesson and an ar-15. I also have a half box of .22lr winchester 555 ammo i could donate. Also, I might have some 20 gauge shells as well.
