I just got a brand new tipman AR and broke the cardinal rule of making changes before having fired the first shot. I changed out the stock which was cheap plastic and the rail just because I had a better one already. Took it to the range and got 50% failure to fire on any ammo.
To avoid a long story I'll cut to the chase. Everything looked like it should work but the buffer tube and retained buffer needed to be screwed in one more revolution than I had it. Correct looks, frankly, like it's slightly in too far and would create problems with opening/closing the upper from the lower.
Having It where I did didn't put enough pressure on the bolt towards the chamber and I was getting light primer strikes.
1 more revolution tighter and 100% success.

I will leave it this....to many proprietary parts.... the "tipps" are members of our gun club, they have asked & mob mentality of "looks tacti-cool" is good enough....
