WTS/WTT: Valvoline 5W30 and 5W20 synthetic blend motor oil

I have some mostly- full jugs of Valvoline semi-synthetic motor oil that I can no longer use. The 5W20 jug has 4 quarts left, the 5W30 has 3.5 quarts. Oil looks clean and clear, just forgot about it in the garage- help me get it gone! $8/jug or $15 for both. Could take reloading items in trade...

The INGO Hardcore Weight Loss/Fitness Thread

Congratulations to everyone moving toward their goals! I haven't posted in a while so to keep myself accountable and contribute some positivity I'll share my progress. Have gotten under 160 recently. Started at 211, and goal was 155. I was 157 and change this morning. Still WAY down on added...

Issues with CFE pistol powder dropping inconsistently?

Now that I think about it, my Square Deal B is probably due for a cleaning. It tends to vary a few tenths of a grain - thanks for the follow-up post!

      45ACP Guns

I had a Springfield 4" service model XD in .45 ACP years ago that was totally reliable. 13 + 1 capacity - I think it was just over 40 ounces fully loaded. I enjoyed it.

      Looking for honest opinions

If it were me, I'd sell both. I find it hard to imagine having guns that are shot that little. Just my 2 cents. Hope you are happy with whatever you choose.

      .44 Magnum Squibs

I occasionally use HP38 for lighter Magnum loads in my Redhawk, but I use 11 grains. I haven't had any issues with ignition/squibs. Hope you can find a new load that works nicely for you.

The INGO Hardcore Weight Loss/Fitness Thread

I sympathize with the "roller coaster" folks. Been there. ATM, I'm under 180 for only the 2nd time in the last...18 years, or so. About 5 pounds away from my lowest weight im that time. For me, radically less sugar, smaller portions, more veggies, some body weight exercises and walking during...

      Best Pocket Carry…

To me, a concealed hammer, airweight J-frame was a great pocket carry gun. I had a Smith 642 that I pocket carried for many years in a Mika holster. Very light, didn't snag, and I never drew the holster. I later carried a Glock 43 the same way, but the additional weight did not go unnoticed...

The INGO Hardcore Weight Loss/Fitness Thread

I almost never check out the "Break Room" section, so I've never seen this thread before. I'm not sure if my present situation would be described as "hardcore", but after reading a page or two of the latest replies I think I'm among friends here. I was pretty much always a bit of a chubby...

      Springfield Armory Garrison

An entertaining and thorough read - thanks! The Garrison was my choice for my first 1911, and I think it was a good one. Lots of nice features for not a lot of money. A lot of feedback from others in the know echoed this sentiment. It was easy to swap a few things to make it more to my liking...

So.. what are you reloading at the moment??

Got a tiny batch of 30-06 loaded this afternoon. I have  almost settled on a load of choice for my M1. It seems to like IMR 4064 best, and something in the neighborhood of 47.5 - 48.5 grains. Hopefully one last trip to Atterbury and I'll finally have it sorted.

Any caliber you really don’t like

.22 LR. May very well be that the ammo I bought was the huge, cheap, 500+ round boxes/buckets, but the rifles I've had in .22 LR constantly had failures to fire. To me, the charm of .22 LR was the ammo was so cheap. I guess if pricier ammo is needed for reliable ignition, it's not as appealing a...

.357 mag or .44 mag That is the question...

I like the .357 for hood, .44 for woods reply. I think plenty of folks with a .357 don't use it as a dedicated Magnum gun, and they see plenty of Specials. If your revolver is intended for regular Magnum use, I'd say the .44 gives you more options with heavier bullets and more energy on tap. I...
